UKSSSC High Court Recruitment 2026 Opens for 398 Junior Assistant and Stenographer Vacanci
The vacancy list includes 230 Junior Assistant posts in Civil Courts, 29 Junior Assistant posts in Family Courts, 128 Stenographer Grade-1 / Personal Assistant posts in Civil Courts, and 11 Stenographer Grade-1 / Personal Assistant posts in Family Courts. These posts are spread across all 13 districts of Uttarakhand, including Dehradun, Haridwar, Nainital, Udham Singh Nagar, Almora, Pauri Garhwal, Pithoragarh, Chamoli, Champawat, Bageshwar, Tehri, Rudraprayag, and Uttarkashi.
A Bachelor’s Degree in Law from a university established by law in India, or an equivalent recognized qualification, is mandatory for all posts. The notice also requires good knowledge of Hindi and English, Hindi typing at 25 words per minute, and for Stenographer Grade-1 / Personal Assistant, Hindi shorthand at 80 words per minute and Hindi computer typing at 25 words per minute.
- English typing speed of 30 words per minute is given preference.
- For Stenographer Grade-1 / Personal Assistant, English shorthand at 80 words per minute and English computer typing at 35 words per minute are preferred.
- The age limit is listed as on 1 January 2026.
- Candidates must be born between 02 January 1991 and 01 January 2005.
- SC/ST/OBC candidates of Uttarakhand domicile get 5 years relaxation.
- Persons with Disabilities get 10 years relaxation.
- Dependents of Freedom Fighters get 5 years relaxation.
- Application fee is ₹300 for UR/OBC, ₹150 for SC/ST/EWS of Uttarakhand, ₹150 for Persons with Disabilities, and ₹0 for Orphan candidates.
The selection process includes a written competitive examination in offline or online mode, objective-type multiple-choice questions, 140 written marks, a 2 hours 30 minutes exam duration, a separate Typing/Shorthand test worth 60 marks, and negative marking of 1/4 mark for each wrong answer. Minimum qualifying marks are 45% for General/OBC candidates and 35% for SC/ST candidates.
