Allahabad High Court Research Associate Recruitment 2026
The recruitment is for a contractual post with a fixed honorarium of Rs. 40,000 per month, subject to upward revision. The engagement is for one year and can be extended up to a maximum of three years based on satisfactory performance.
Selected Research Associates will assist Hon’ble Judges with legal research, drafting, preparation of note sheets, and study of statutes. The engagement may be terminated at any time without prior notice.

Eligible candidates must have completed or be completing a 5-year or 3-year LLB degree in Academic Sessions 2024, 2026, or 2026. Candidates who appeared in the LLB final year examination in 2026 and are awaiting results are also eligible.
The notice requires 55% or more marks in LLB and working knowledge of computer applications, including data entry and word processing. The age limit is 21 years completed and not more than 26 years as on 1st July of the calendar year of notification of vacancies.
Selection is divided into three stages carrying 100 marks: Language, Academics & Co-curricular Activities; Screening Test; and Interview Test. The Screening Test is descriptive, carries 60 marks, and lasts 1 hour. The Interview Test carries 20 marks.
- Candidates involved in any criminal case, whether convicted or charge-sheeted, are ineligible.
- Those who have previously worked as Research Associates are not eligible to apply again.
- Candidates with more than one living spouse, or those married to a person who has a legally living wedded wife or husband, are also ineligible.
- The application fee is Rs. 500/- plus applicable bank charges and must be paid online.
