PSPCL ALM Recruitment 2026: 6,289 Assistant Lineman Vacancies, Eligibility and Online Application Details

PSPCL ALM Recruitment 2026 has been released for Assistant Lineman posts under two separate notifications, with 6289 vacancies announced in total.

Punjab State Power Corporation Limited released the recruitment in June 2026. The official website is www.pspcl.in, and the drive includes CRA 317/26 and CRA 318/26.

PSPCL ALM Recruitment 2026

CRA 317/26 is for candidates with a National Apprenticeship Certificate in Lineman Trade and has 3289 posts. CRA 318/26 is for candidates with ITI in Electrician Trade or Wireman Trade issued by NCVT or SCVT and has 3000 posts.

The application fee is non-refundable and must be paid online through SBI Payment Gateway. For candidates except SC and PwD, the fee is Rs. 1200 plus GST of Rs. 216, making a total of Rs. 1416 plus bank charges. For Scheduled Caste and Person with Disability candidates, the fee is Rs. 750 plus GST of Rs. 135, making a total of Rs. 885 plus bank charges.

Both recruitments use a Computer Based Online Test followed by document verification. The online test has two parts: Part-I is a qualifying Punjabi Language test with 50 questions, and Part-II has 100 objective questions covering technical or discipline questions, Punjabi language, general knowledge, reasoning, and arithmetic. The exam duration is 3 hours, and there is no negative marking.

For CRA 317/26, the required educational qualification is Matriculation or equivalent from a recognised board with NAC in Lineman Trade by the last date of online application submission. For CRA 318/26, the required qualification is ITI in Electrician Trade or Wireman Trade with certificate issued by NCVT or SCVT by the last date of application submission.

Candidates must have passed Punjabi at Matriculation level or equivalent by the last date of application submission. The age limit is 18 to 37 years as on 01/01/2026. The notice also lists age relaxations for SC and Backward Class, Physically Handicapped, widows/divorced/separated women in specific categories, ex-servicemen, and serving employees of PSPCL, PSTCL, and Punjab Government.

The pay scale is linked to PSPCL Financial Circular No. 21/2022 dated 17.08.2022, with minimum basic pay of Rs. 19,900 per month as per 7th CPC/Pay Matrix. During the 3-year probation period, candidates receive minimum admissible pay only, with Travelling Allowance and Medical Reimbursement as per entitlement.
