DRDO Paid Internship 2026 Opens for Multiple Positions at NPOL
Naval Physical & Oceanographic Laboratory (NPOL), Scientific Analysis Group (SAG), and Research Centre Imarat (RCI) have opened internship positions under DRDO. The notifications cover final-year students from AICTE/UGC-recognized institutions.
NPOL has 35 vacancies, SAG has 40 vacancies, and RCI has 160 vacancies. The internships carry different stipend structures: NPOL offers Rs. 30,000 in two equal installments, SAG offers Rs. 30,000 in two equal installments, and RCI offers Rs. 5,000 per month.
NPOL at Thrikkakkara, Kochi, invites students in the final year of their full-time UG/PG course in relevant disciplines. The internship or project work must be part of the course curriculum, the minimum academic requirement is 75% marks or 7.5 CGPA/SGPA until the previous year or semester, and the maximum age limit is 28 years as on the closing date.
NPOL applications must be sent by email to [email protected] before 15 June 2026. Candidates must also submit details through a Google Form, and applications can also be sent by Speed Post to The Director, NPOL (DRDO), Thrikkakara PO, Kochi – 682 021.
SAG in Civil Lines, Delhi, invites final-year B.E./B.Tech./M.E./M.Tech./M.Sc. students for its 6-month paid internship scheme for the academic year 2026-27. UG students must be in B.E./B.Tech. IV Year full-time in the respective discipline, PG students must be in the 2nd Year of M.E./M.Tech./M.Sc., and students with backlogs in any semester are not eligible.
SAG applications must be sent only by email to [email protected]. The subject line must mention “Application for Paid Internship – July 2026” with the Branch Code and Branch/Discipline, and the required attachments include the application form, NOC from college, 10th marksheet, 12th/Diploma marksheet, marksheets of all completed semesters, Aadhaar card, and College ID card.
RCI in Hyderabad invites final-year students pursuing full-time Graduate or Post Graduate courses in Engineering and Science, with Physics or Chemistry only for Science. Only final-year students may apply, the minimum academic requirement is 75% from AICTE/UGC-approved colleges, and the maximum age is below 28 years.
RCI applications must be sent by Speed Post/Courier to The Director, Research Centre Imarat (RCI), Defence R&D Organisation, Vignyana Kancha, Hyderabad – 500069. The envelope must be superscribed with “Application for Paid Internship” and the “Branch Code.”
RCI also states that the internship may be extended by 4 to 6 months beyond the 6-month period for M.Tech./M.Sc. students without payment of stipend. The monthly stipend at RCI is Rs. 5,000, paid in two installments, and it applies only when the student maintains a minimum of 15 working days of attendance per month at the laboratory.
