Indian Air Force Agniveervayu Intake 02/2027 and Airmen Group Y (Medical Assistant) notifications are out for online application. The update covers unmarried Indian male and female candidates for Agniveervayu and Indian/Gorkha (Nepal) male candidates for Airmen Group Y.
The Indian Air Force issued the notice on 17 June 2026. Online registration runs from 06 July 2026 to 26 July 2026, and applications are being accepted through the official CASB portal at https://iafrecruitment.edcil.co.in.

Indian Air Force Agniveervayu 02/2027 Notification Out
The notification includes Agniveervayu Intake 02/2027 and Airmen Group Y (Medical Assistant) 02/2027. The online examination for STAR Phase-I is scheduled for 22-23 September 2026.
The selection process has three stages: Phase-I online test, Phase-II PFT plus Adaptability Tests, and Phase-III medical. The application process is online only, and a valid personal email ID and mobile number are mandatory.
- Step-I registration covers personal and contact details.
- Step-II includes personal details, qualification, and document upload.
- Uploaded items include photograph with slate, signature, parent’s signature if applicable, left thumb impression, and live image.
- The examination fee is non-refundable.
- Applicants are required to take a printout of the submitted application.
For Agniveervayu, candidates must be born between 01 July 2005 and 01 January 2010, both dates inclusive. For Airmen Group Y (Medical Assistant), the age limit is given by category as 10+2 up to 21 years and diploma holders up to 24 years.
Educational qualification for Agniveervayu is 10+2/Intermediate with Physics, Mathematics and English with 50% aggregate, or equivalent vocational/diploma courses. Medical Assistant eligibility is 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English, or Diploma/B.Pharma/B.Sc in Pharmacy with prescribed marks.
Science candidates will take Physics, Mathematics and English for 60 minutes, while other than Science candidates will take English, Reasoning and General Awareness for 45 minutes. Marking is +1 for each correct answer and -0.25 for each wrong answer, and normalised marks will be used.
The Physical Fitness Test includes a 1.6 km run within 7 minutes for males and within 8 minutes for females, followed by push-ups, sit-ups and squats as per standards. Agniveervayu will receive a customised monthly package with contribution to the Agniveer Corpus Fund, and 25% will be given as Seva Nidhi package after 4 years.
