SBI PO Recruitment 2026 Notification Out for 1500 Probationary Officer Posts
The recruitment drive covers Probationary Officer posts across various circles and offices in India. The advertised post is linked to Junior Management Grade Scale-I after selection.
Graduates in any discipline from a recognized university can apply for the 1500 vacancies. Final-year and semester students may also apply provisionally, subject to producing proof of having passed by 30.09.2026.
The age limit is not below 21 years and not above 30 years as on 01.04.2026. The notification also lists relaxation for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) by 3 years and for Ex-Servicemen/ECOs/SSCOs with 5 years of military service by 5 years.
The selection process has three phases: Preliminary Examination, Main Examination, and Psychometric Test, Group Exercise & Interview. The Preliminary Examination is an objective test of 100 marks with English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability in 1 hour.
The Main Examination is an objective test of 200 marks with Reasoning & Computer Aptitude, Data Analysis & Interpretation, General Awareness/Economy/Banking, and English Language, along with a Descriptive Test of 30 marks. The combined duration is 3 hours 30 minutes.
The final phase includes Group Exercise for 20 marks and Interview for 30 marks, followed by document verification and final merit list preparation. A penalty of 1/4th mark applies for each wrong answer in both the Preliminary and Main Examinations.
Selected candidates will be appointed in Junior Management Grade Scale-I with a starting basic pay of Rs. 48,480 plus 4 advance increments. The approximate CTC at the Mumbai Centre is Rs. 21.97 Lacs.
