UGC NET June 2026 Exam Dates Released
The complete subject-wise schedule has been released as Annexure-I to the official notice. The exam is spread across multiple dates in two daily shifts, with Shift-I from 09:00 AM to 12:00 PM and Shift-II from 03:00 PM to 06:00 PM.
City of Exam Centre information will be displayed on the NTA website 8 to 10 days before the examination. NTA has also expanded city choice options for candidates from North-Eastern States.
- Four new cities have been added: Namsai, Kakching, Bishnupur, and Cherrapunji.
- Candidates from Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura and Sikkim can also opt for examination cities in neighbouring North-Eastern States.
- Shift-I subjects listed in the notice include Visual Art, Museology & Conservation, and Labour Welfare/Personnel Management/Industrial Relations/Labour and Social Welfare/Human Resource Management.
- Shift-II subjects listed in the notice include Computer Science and Applications, Performing Art, Tribal and Regional Language/Literature, Mass Communication and Journalism, Library and Information Science, Comparative Study of Religions, Defence and Strategic Studies, Buddhist; Jaina; Gandhian and Peace Studies, Comparative Literature, Arab Culture and Islamic Studies, Indian Knowledge Systems, French, Management, Sanskrit traditional subjects, Economics/Rural Economics/Co-operation/Demography/Development Planning/Development Studies/Econometrics/Applied Economics/Development Eco./Business Economics, Environmental Sciences, Politics, Human Rights and Duties, Tourism Administration and Management, Adult Education/Continuing Education/Andragogy/Non Formal Education, and Social Medicine & Community Health.
