The wait is over. The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) has officially declared the WB Madhyamik Result 2026 on May 8, 2026. The result was announced at a press conference at 9:30 AM and the online result links went live at 10:15 AM at wbresults.nic.in and wbbse.wb.gov.in. The overall pass percentage this year is 86.83% — an improvement over last year’s 86.56%.
Abhirup Bhadra of Sharada Mandir School, Uttar Dinajpur, has emerged as the state topper with an outstanding 698 out of 700 marks (99.71%) — the highest Rank 1 score in recent Madhyamik history. A total of 131 students from 19 districts feature in the top 10 merit list.

What to Do After WB Madhyamik Result 2026
If you passed: Begin Class 11 stream selection (Science, Commerce, Arts) at your preferred Higher Secondary school. Provisional marksheet from wbresults.nic.in is accepted for all admissions. Collect original marksheet from your school’s Camp Office.
If marks seem wrong: Apply for PPR (Post Publication Review) or PPS (Post Publication Scrutiny) within 15 days of result through your school at wbbse.wb.gov.in. PPR/PPS result expected in July 2026. This applies only to theory papers — internal assessment marks cannot be revised.
If you failed in one or two subjects: Apply for the Supplementary Exam expected approximately one month after the result. Supplementary result comes in August 2026. Forms available at your school and on wbbse.wb.gov.in.
