Eligibility details
Group A posts need a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in the relevant discipline with the required experience for each post. Group B posts need a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or Diploma in the relevant field with the required experience.
Group C posts require a Bachelor’s degree or a Diploma of minimum 3 years duration in a relevant discipline. The age limit is up to 45 years for Group A, up to 35 years for Group B, and up to 30 years for Group C, as on the closing date.
- PwD candidates get 10 years’ relaxation plus category relaxation, subject to a maximum age of 56 years.
- Ex-Servicemen get 3 years plus service period plus category relaxation, subject to a maximum age of 56 years.
Selection process
Selection depends on the post applied for. Group A posts, except Medical Officer, include a Written Test and/or Seminar or Presentation, followed by a Personal Interview for shortlisted candidates.
Medical Officer will be selected through interview only. Group B and Group C posts include a Written Test, Skill Test or Job-Oriented Practical Test, and other steps as per rules.
Salary and application fee
The pay level ranges from Level 3 to Level 13 under the 7th CPC. Superintending Engineer is in Level 13 with pay of Rs. 1,23,100 to Rs. 2,15,900, while Junior Assistant and Junior Technician are in Level 3 with pay of Rs. 21,700 to Rs. 69,100.
The application fee is non-refundable and must be paid online. Group A posts require Rs. 1500 for General candidates and Rs. 750 for SC, ST, PwD, and Female candidates.
Group B and C posts require Rs. 1000 for General candidates and Rs. 500 for SC, ST, PwD, and Female candidates. Bank or transaction charges and GST, if any, will be borne by the applicant.
