WBCAP First Merit List 2026 Released: Check Phase 1 Allotment and College-Wise PDFs

WBCAP First Merit List 2026 has been released for Phase-1 admission. The list is published college-wise and subject-wise for participating government and government-aided general degree colleges.

The West Bengal Department of Higher Education released it on June 9, 2026, at 10:00 AM. Candidates can check allotment details on wbcap.in and banglaruchchashiksha.wb.gov.in.

WBCAP First Merit List 2026 Released

The merit list reflects the college-wise and course-wise merit order of applicants who applied in Phase-1. It was prepared on the basis of academic performance in the 10+2 or equivalent examination under the merit-based admission policy.

The PDF includes Application Number, Student Name, Gender, Category, PwD status, GMR, CMR, Preference Number, Merit Index, and 9 Tie-Break Rules. Selection remains provisional, and final admission depends on physical verification at the allotted institution.

• Selected candidates must complete the online admission process between June 9 and June 15, 2026.
• The upgrade round allotment is scheduled for June 20, 2026.
• Physical verification of documents will take place from June 27 to July 4, 2026, except June 28.
• Classes are scheduled to begin on July 6, 2026.
• The application process was free, and candidates could apply for up to 25 programmes across multiple institutions.
• Fresh applicants and eligible Phase-1 candidates can apply in Phase-2 from July 7 to July 16, 2026.
