MDL Apprentice Recruitment 2026

The recruitment is for the Apprenticeship Program 2026, and all updates, corrigenda, and addenda will be available only on the MDL official website. No hard copies will be accepted.

The online application is open only through mazagondock.in. A valid personal email ID and contact number are mandatory for communication.

  • Online registration and application: 11th June 2026 to 1st July 2026
  • Payment of application fees online: 11th June 2026 to 1st July 2026
  • Declaration of eligible and not eligible candidates list: 10th July 2026
  • Submission of representation regarding ineligibility: 15th July 2026
  • Release of admit card / hall tickets: 15th July 2026
  • Online examination / CBT: 25th July 2026

The apprenticeship is divided into three groups. Group A requires SSC (10th Class) with Science and Mathematics, Group B requires ITI in the relevant trade from a Government or Government-recognized institute, and Group C requires 8th Class under the 10+2 system with Science and Mathematics. Group A and Group C do not accept ITI-passed candidates.

Age limits as on 01-10-2026 are 15 to 19 years for Group A, 16 to 21 years for Group B, and 14 to 18 years for Group C.

The selection process includes a 100-mark, 2-hour multiple choice CBT based on the syllabus of the respective group’s minimum qualification. Shortlisted candidates then go through document verification and trade allotment, followed by a medical examination. Selected apprentices receive a monthly stipend credited to their savings bank account via ECS, and no cheque payments are issued. Candidates must have a PAN card, or income tax will be deducted from the stipend.
