TIFR Recruitment 2026 Notification Out: Apply Online for Tradesman, Clerk and Work Assistant Posts

TIFR Recruitment 2026 has been released for 30 post categories at the Colaba, Mumbai campus.

The Tata Institute of Fundamental Research issued Advertisement No. 2026/6 on 13 June 2026. Online applications are open through www.tifr.res.in, and the last date to apply is 4th July 2026.

The notification includes post-wise vacancies, eligibility criteria, pay levels, age limits, selection process, and general conditions. It covers scientific, technical, administrative, and support roles under the 7th CPC Pay Matrix.

Applications are accepted only in online mode through the official TIFR website. No offline or postal applications will be entertained.

• Scientific Officer (C) requires a full-time BE/B.Tech or M.Sc., depending on the post, with 1 to 3 years of relevant experience.
• Scientific Assistant (B) requires a full-time Science Graduate or Engineering Diploma, with 1 to 2 years of experience depending on the post.
• Administrative Assistant (B) requires a graduate degree, proficiency in word processing/database/accounting, and 5 years of experience.
• Tradesman (B) requires NTC or NAC qualifications in the relevant trade with the required work experience.
• Security Guard (3 Posts – Unreserved) requires SSC or equivalent qualification, 3 years of Defence/CAPF/Security experience, and physical fitness standards.
• Project Administrative Assistant (B) is a temporary, non-pensionable post renewable annually up to a maximum of 3 years.
• Government/Semi-Government/PSU employees shortlisted for the process must submit a No Objection Certificate from the competent authority.
